Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her career in showbiz as a child. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. Her critically acclaimed role in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is involved in many noteworthy projects, both in the United States and internationally. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical mini-series Napoleon and many more. She was also part of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
